Description

One unexpected benefit of learning to do something new is the sudden inspiration it triggers. Now that I'm finally making asteroids that I actually like in Bryce, I'm filled with all kinds of ideas for what to do with them! This is my first real try at a Mass-Driver pushing a small asteroid towards a more convenient location for mining, etc. I didn't really do much research, so I suspect the "launcher" should be much longer, but this was just a trial run anyway. The asteroid and ship are my own creations, using textures I made primarily in Photoshop. Ship and Asteroid were unaltered from the final render, while the star field and faint nebula clouds were all done in Photoshop. Thanks for taking a look, and as always comments and critiques are definitely encouraged.

Glad to see you're getting some inspiration, my friend! It's good seeing your space images again, Mike! This is fantastic! Looks like it would work - the asteroid would be weightless, but it still has a lot of mass to push around. I have to wonder how much of it would be left by the time it arrived at its destination. This kind of reminds me of an old Star Trek episode where an entire society was traveling around inside a hollowed out asteroid.
