oh thank you so much, Barb, your words are beautiful, and it's a magical image to accompany them. I mean, the background looks like a cascade of spring-like greens, with all those snow-specks floating in front of it. The snow reminds me of flower petals in spring (a late winter image that feels like spring! how'd you manage that?) It's magical. And your thoughts are very touching---coming from one of this site's truly special and always kind and caring people (you), I'm very flattered. I know you care for an ailing mother, and things can get difficult and---at times like this---downright scary. So you're not late: You gave me a beautiful gift, and that's what matters. (Hey, I once got a birthday gift in JULY.) Thank you, barb, for your magical floating image---wasn't it Peter Pan who threw magic dust over everything...that's what this reminds me of. And thank you for your beautiful words, I'm very touched. If you posted this in October, it would be wonderful. I hope all stays well with you, your mom, and your family. And let's hope this virus goes away soon...Thank you again for this gift.

(Btw, we had snow last night too...and as for magnolias ((barb/goldie)): Well, the Big Apple is one of those places that actually gets spring in springtime---a radical concept! We get it in late May. We may even have you beat, even in the arctic wilds of w. new england...)
