Magistra Carol MacAlister wanted a new portrait, being tired of the one with her face squinched to one side in concentration. She wanted something sexeh but not slutty. We settled on bare midriff, with staff. This isn't her usual magickal equipment, but it will do for now until I model a proper Ace of Wands type staff for her.
>>Wallpaper version is here, in the illustration gallery.
As a note to readers: Carol is one of my oldest figments. She's been with me since my teens. We've endured a lot together, and grown up a bunch. My hat's off to those of you who have stuck by your figments for decades. It's good to have imaginary friends. :D
If you liked Book 1, Sorrows' Master, the first draft chapter of Book Two has been posted on http://www.nefredman.com, as well as two installments of a (free) short story in the Sorrows-verse.
Carol and Dolores are also talking to Trent about principles of Magick over at http://www.mage-net.com. You might enjoy that, too. :)
Hugs to all!
Production notes: My Carol character wearing AerySoul's Arkham Angel getup, in a DM set (Instances), holding a DM staff from...well, one of their sets. The background through the window was rendered separately in Vue and added in post, as was hair, magick glow, and framing.

I like the glittering earrings and the sensible shoes, and the contrast between the shy peeking and the BIG MOFO STAFF. :D And thank you for the new teaser on the blog! It's fun already. I like all your characters and I am glad Mike is getting a little more to do now!
