Description

Well, again I have done a "chess" image..I hope you arent bored already :) Last time I really play chess a lot and I again wanted to artistically catch the beauty of this amazing game!! This image was also little study of reflective materials and simple lighting! Done in C4D R8 with a little postwork in Photoshop 7! By the way, for those who like chess and who would like to play against the players from all world,I recommend you to download the application called ChessWorks,it is available to Mac OS and Windows! www.chessworks.net ---***--- Hope you like it,thanks for viewings, comments are most welcome as always :) Thanks! ---***--- Have a wonderful time LP

You done it! You've reached photorealism! I've seen tens of thousands of images hat were incredible beautifull here on renderosity, but almost none that very as photorealistic as this one my friend! It's just outstanding! I like the tilted camera too! :) 10+

This is a beautiful piece of art--the colors are very subtle but blend perfectly, the textures glow with light. This is even better than a photo!

Marty my friend - I do enjoy the game of chess - with the exception of the notorious spirit of personal competition - which I don't like. It is that spirit which encourages conflict and even wars among humanity. It's too bad the game cannot seem to be played free of the feelings of success and failure - however - this comment is on the beauty and excellence of your amazing rendering skills. One of the features I absolutely love in your renders Marty is the gorgeous attention to depth of field - a feature which can make or break a photographer's aspirations to greatness. Here - you have clearly made the King the topic of interest and the Queen of the foreground the secondary point of interest. The reflections of the game pieces on the board are exquisitely done, and make one think of an expensive marble board with gold and silver player pieces. Excellent work my friend - and a definite vote.

OMG - this is awesome. I love the reflections, the shadows and the photo realistic quality. This is brilliant! If you have any chance to get that animated I'd be speechless I guess.

not surprised you like chess, martin! it would be fun to see you animate a whole game like this. superb composition, materials. i think like mathematics and 3D geometry, chess is deeper than most want to go, but great rewards for those who do. you make me want to try C4D! hey hey, i'll never be bored...keep 'em coming!
