It looks lovely. I would say maybe the hills seem too smooth and too empty of vegetation but apart from that it looks good to me. Also maybe the scale of the water bump is a bit too big when compared with the castle. I do like the composition and the cloudscape a lot. Good job!

It really got highland feeling. Nice sky and light and scene setting. What doesn't work for me here is the castle...the ground aroung it is just too smooth and without detail...so it doesn't fit seamlessly in my opinion :) But very good render that somehow reminds me Terragen :)

This render reminds me so much of my families castle "Duntrune" on loch Crinan. It's been in the family since the 1700s I've been there twice and hope to return soon. Thanks for the memories. If you would like to see it you can find it here http://www.kilmartin.org/kilmartin/sites/castle3.html our clan website is here http://clan-maccallum-malcolm.3acres.org/Duntrune.html I think you would be amazed at the simularities in geography Duntrune sits on a promintory on loch Crinan... just like your render. kell.

Great Pic reminds me of a train trip from Fort William to Arisaig on the west coast of Scotland

Well I really like it a lot- I do agree some subtle vegetation and/or rocks around the base of the castle would pull the castle more into the scene, but the landscape is totally lovely and really evokes the highlands for me. I'm Welsh and Scottish and still have family in Northern Wales. The feeling is there for sure. Great work!
