So, to get the previous image to look right, the first step is to create the wider context. Originally this was to be a landscape, but oportunistically I spotted a landing pad, and thus landed a Saucer on it. Later I did a clip render to zoom in on this section and on saving selected to use the previous render as the icon for the MojoWorld file. It was then that I noticed that it looked nice, so I went back to the clip box and clicked on the Zoom In button that now appears in this with MojoWorld 3. Then a few adjustments to get the overall size right, and then double the maximum detail level as this file renders quickly - to get the closer shot (submitted previously).
