Description

My version of the Voyager 1 probe, now the most distant human-made object in the universe, which was launched on September 5, 1977, over 25 years ago. It is currently more than 12.4 billion kilometers (84 Astronomical) from the Sun. Nasa: Both Voyager spacecrafts carry a greeting to any form of life, should that be encountered. The message is carried by a phonograph record - -a 12-inch gold-plated copper disk containing sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth. The contents of the record were selected for NASA by a committee chaired by Carl Sagan of Cornell University. Dr. Sagan and his associates assembled 115 images and a variety of natural sounds. To this they added musical selections from different cultures and eras, and spoken greetings from Earth-people in fifty-five languages. A special thanks to Audity for helping me out with this. Rendered in Cinema 4D Art R7. Thanks for viewing!

Very neat! I heard that the 3drendered movies of voyager made in '77 where made by the co-founder of Pixar. You succeed him at this point....that means you have 20 years to go before the launch of your first feature film!! Can I be init pleeaase?

Thanks y'all. It was quite a trial to get the planet looking good. Audity helped me with the darkening of it. The satelite was very fun to model and texture =)
