another part of the world building process for a graphic novel project. The method I use is, render both color render and a sketch render. Then in photoshop, I create a line art version using paths and wacom tablet then use the sketch render to just barley add some fill.(I try to use as much hand drawn elements as I can to avoid an over filter look.) I then take the line art copy into painter 11 and go over the art with charcoal pencils and color pencils(layering each). I next take the color render into painter 11 for reference and basically repaint it using pastel and watercolors. then combine both branches of the work in photoshop. To save time I use comic life for letter work.
