Description

Haven't posted much because I've been trying to catch up. I'm about 2/3 of the way through your galleries, so please be patient---I'm getting there! I've never been so slow since I came here in 2008... In the meantime, a shot from my park. That's Lincoln on the right. (Well, that's a statue of Lincoln---he had a dinner to go to when I took the shot...) Thanks for your wonderful visits, I appreciate them all! I wish you all a terrific week, Mark (again, it's really big, so better zoomed) ---------------------------------

What a gorgeous place for a stroll. No worries about catching up on my gallery. I am always slow...sometimes I even just look and like when I get too far behind.

Fantastic composition of this photo and fascinating power of colors. The monument of Lincoln seems to become insignificant thing in front of the exuberant and colorful beauty of nature, almost as if to signify the poverty also of the great human actions. And people even more small and insignificant in front of the monument therefore also less rich in universally considered important values. The work gives me the impression to wants remind people of their narrow mindedness.

No disrespect but forget Lincoln, look at those trees! This is a textbook example of a photograph reaching out and grabbing you by the eyeballs. Fantastic work.

Wonderful capture Mark. I like the composition very much. The colorful trees at the left site, the two ladies and of course Lincoln watching his surrounding. Well done.
Thank you very much for your comments.

OHH!! This is gorgeous, Mark. Love the rich colors and the very light statue of Lincoln. Beautiful contrasts. AH, so he was gone for dinner, when you took the shot. Hmm!... He must be very old. Can he even chew the butter now? ;-)

Wow look at those trees, I am amazed that these people can not stop to take a look at them. A fabulous capture very well composed and with lots of interest to make me look twice. A very beautiful place to take a stroll. 😀

A lovely autumn capture. That park looks so beautiful. I like the contrasts in this, with the vivid contrasting leaves, and the tiny humans in relation to the giant Lincoln statue.

I like guilband's comment. Stellar composition of various hues of green in the ample foliage, with Abraham Lincoln holding sway over the lovely park, oblivious to the crime and corruption surrounding him in Chicago. And, how ironic it is that if I posted this same exact image, I would receive at best about five comments.

Dang, this is spectacular, Mark! The colors of the leaves are so wonderfully saturated - this looks like it came out of a dream. A really lovely photo, my friend!

I know what you mean... I seem to be continually falling behind these days... Things seem to be getting better, though!
