The Girls are taking a short hiatus while things hopefully start settling down here. G4, Ar, and Kinnie have joined Ella at her home in upstate New York. Her father left it to Ella when he passed away a few years ago. Ella has completely restored her dad's old '54 Chevy Bel-Aire, and the Girls are going on a little tour of rural New York. They will be back soon. There are plenty of adventures to come.
Well, as if there haven't been enough things to deal with the last few months, now my primary Photoshop machine has started having some major issues. Lately, it's been giving me the occasional BSOD on startup. Yesterday, it took 5 or 6 attempts at starting it up to get it to finally settle down. It asked me to run Windows startup repair, which I did - and unsurprisingly after 30 minutes Windows informed me it was "unable to repair" the problem. Typical Widows "Troubleshooter" results...
Anyway, after an hour or so of messing with it, the machine finally settled down, and seems to be working normally now. It's a 6 year old machine running Windows 7, but it's a dual-processor unit with 64G of RAM, and I think it has plenty of life left in it. This is likely more of a software corruption issue than any kind of hardware problem. The company I bought it from - Velocity Micro - offers an "upgrade program" for existing customers, where you can ship the computer back to them, and they'll upgrade it. I may check into this - depending on cost, it might be worth it to upgrade to Win 10 and probably a better GPU. Or I might just do a format-reload on it. We'll see.
Jo is feeling a lot better - thank you all for all the well-wishes and prayers! You rock, my friends!
And a great big CONGRATULATIONS to Barb (Bakapo) for being voted Artist of the Month! Well deserved! 👍
Hope to be back in action soon with the last few pages of Chapter 6 and the beginning of Chapter 7! Thanks for stopping by, and for all your wonderful comments and support!

A June hiatus sounds good. A romp through rural NY would be fun and educational for Kinnie.
BSOD. My laptop is almost as old, but nowhere near as powerful. DAZ Studio or something made my taskbar disappear (but the Windows button remained), which prompted a reboot. If these things keep up I might have to reinstall everything.
I'm glad Jo is doing a lot better! Please let you both have good health from now on!
The girls look great in front of that pristine '54 Chevy! I hope they enjoy their vacation! Glad to hear some of your families health problems are getting better. Sorry to hear of your computer woes! I can relate! I bought a new on in 2017 with windows 10 already on it. I am no fan of windows 10. The resident photo viewing program sucks big time! Takes forever for the first image to display and from there on, it is down hill. LOL! But then, I guess I just like to complain. What can I say. I still have an older backup computer I bought in 2013 or 2014, can't remember which. From Wal-Mart. It actually has more ram (16 gig) than my new one (8 gig). but can't put any of the chips in my new one, darn. Haven't priced out more ram for the newer on. It does most everything I want it to do so why bother. Just wasted expense on my account. Sorry to ramble! Hope you have a great day!!!!
Crap just keeps rolling down hill my friend. I know it stresses u out, does me when it happens.
The gals are hotter then lava my friend. See you soon I hope. Happy both you are feeling better. I can't take that long off, I would miss my friends and their art too much.
The girls deserve a break. (you do, too) They look like they're wearing their comfy traveling outfits and are ready to go.
So sorry about the computer troubles. I'm still running windows 7 and I don't wanna give it up. I'm glad Jo is feeling better, the warm weather should be helping, too.
Thanks for the shout-out on AOFM.. it was a surprise.
awesome scene and render. the ladies are looking fine. windows 10 removed several options that was available in w 7. Edge is one issue. it stays no matter what. now one can not remove the pesky service that windows included with 10. before an update it was removable, but not now. I can not think of the name right now
They are looking lovely Rod and the Chevy looks great with that paint job. Hate PC issues. I think it may be hard disk corruption. Bad sectors. Maybe you want to replace the hard disk with an SSD. It is very cheap now a days and it will increase the speed of everything.
Such a happy image! Love, love, love your girls, they're so cute! I'm glad to hear wifey is feeling better. Some days we need friends around us more than usual. We all go through hard times at one point and I have to admit that having so many super awesome friends here has helped immensely! I truly appreciate the support and love from everyone here.
Try not to spend too many of your savings on computer parts, you'll feel more independent, no pun intended here, and financially stable. The BSOD could be caused by the video card driver not the hdd. Take care my friend!!
Well they certainly look like they are prepared for a lovely summer...I too am taking some time off from Posering, etc. since I redamaged a torn rotator--must keep the arm somewhat still...glad you and Jo have so far not been blown away or washed out of your house :)
