Description

This is the first character impression from a new story I am developing. I have done very little with M4, I am particularly unimpressed with the clothing available for him. This suit is from Daz, I thinks it's likely 4 or more years old, and it fits like a blind man designed it. John is a detective in my story, so he wears a suit everyday, I suppose I'm fortunate that I had not planned this to be a graphic novel. At least his pose reflects the way I feel about his new suit, he has a look like 'what kind of crap are you giving me to wear?' AND WHO THE HELL THINKS YOU PUT WHITE BUTTONS ON A GRAY SUIT!!! I'M NO FASHION GURU, BUT AT LEAST I KNOW THAT DOES NOT WORK!!! MY GOD ABOVE!!! sorry for the rant, hope you like, I don't, but thanks for the look. PP2012x64, PS CS3 Dave/BiggD

Looking good so far! Nice work. I have to agree with you about that suit. It leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe someone will come up with a better one. HINT! HINT!

I've used that suit a few times and, with a little tweaking, it can be made to fit quite well. Plus, you can get a few different looks if you play around with the options. A detective story, huh? Should be cool. Is he hard boiled? :) Are you going to post the story here? He looks decent. Got a hint of Brad Pitt about him.

The Story is a romance. Very complex with regard to the characters. I'm not sure if I will post the story here. I have practically no experience with model design, but I would like to learn more, expecially with regard to developing some decent clothes for M4. If I am going to develop art to accompany the story, then John should have clothes that look good. BiggD.

He's looks great, even the suit! Considering what you have to work with, you're off to a terrific start, bringing your characters to life!

It is good to rant in a positive way, and that you have done, my friend! A very intelligent and handsome character for your story. Like ZanderXL said, if you tweak the morph buttons on these clothes, you can sometimes get them to fit a lot better than just out of the box initial conform. I found that out with a suite for M3 once. But as you can see from my art, I don't have many men in suits, unless it is their birthday suit, which usually fits pretty well. LOL!

I agree with you, there are too few decent clothes for M4, but he is nevertheless very seductive !

A grand character and you are right about M4 clothing. There is little out there that impresses. I have thought about the wacom tablet route and drawing clothing but that is a whole lot of time, For a novel of the heart it might be worth doing. One piece of advice, if you decide to spend the time drawing, do the character really big so you will have something that can be taken to print if you decide to take it all the way.

Yup, there aren't many really good clothing sets for M4. It's all about Victoria, you know. You can go in the material room and select the buttons on the suit from the dropdown at the upper right in the center panel and then select a grey or black color for the Diffuse Color. That'll fix the white buttons. Nice looking character, Dave.
