Description

Here's another bit of fan art. I'm trying out some new techniques based on a couple of Vue tutorials from Elfguy. I like the results so I offer this with a tip of the hat to him. The walkway in the background is also his creation. Patrick is an incredible artist, and I highly recommend his gallery. This is my interpretation of the Jedi Consular class in the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG. Yes, it's a Jedi wearing a bandage over her eyes. That's because she's a Miraluka, a race that's born without eyes. Instead, they see through the Force. A note on the pose in this image. It's the infamous Obi-wan "two finger" pose from episode III. Some people grumble about the silliness of this pseudo-martial-arts stance, but I suspect that Mr. McGregor is having the last laugh. Ewan is a Brit, after all, and with just a slightly different angle on those two fingers, they could be interpreted as his reaction to the Director at having to assume this ridiculous pose. Please take a moment to view this at full resolution, and feel free to leave a comment or critique. I value all of your opinions!

Nicely done! Interesting choice of pose :) I like the outfit too. Eye catching but tasteful enough that you'd likely find some of the more daring Jedi females wear. Might as well enjoy doing some SW art renders while in the spirit of it, as I highly doubt the game itself would be as generous in freedom of clothing. The Miraluka species is pretty interesting, relying on the Force to provide their sense of sight. Definitely keep at it, do more SW one-shots / pinups if thats all you have time for. Theres newer a shortage in good tasteful SW art :)

Considering the amazing job that Bioware did with KOTOR 1&2, I'm quite excited about the new MMORPG. If I ever get time to use the PC for games then it'll be top of my list! There's not actually anything wrong with that kamae (stance) - there are some techniques in kenjutusu that can involove "pointing" in some fashion. Plus it's a fictional universe so the normal rules don't apply! :)

I second Zander. People need to get a life. It's a fictional character in a fictional universe, using a fictional weapon. Very nice render here.

Nicely done :) My son wants to buy this game, but oddly for me, I have no interest. I guess I am tired of all the hype.

Wow, I can't believe how much your skill grows from image to image. This is VERY well done. Wonderful posing, lighting and textures. I love the muscle morphs in her abs, very appropriate for a professional warrior. Very nicely done Robert!
