[Continues an intermittent series of renders loosely based on Stephen Hunt's Jackelian series of novels. Nothing is directly from the novels, but the images might evoke some characters and some events.] The steamman and gentleman have reached the port. The steamman carries a heavy gauge rifle on his shoulder and the gentleman carries a carpetbag. They must be on a journey. There's more activity here than on the town street. We see several sailors on the dock. Two are working and one is having a smoke. Someone else is literally running an errand. Up on the quay we see a Cassarabian and, heading the other way, a lady in foreign garb and a priest of the circle. I experimented with lighting in this is a complex scene. Although there's sill a little sunlight, most of the lighting is artificial. The lights give some context but most everything is in shadows. There are a lot of figures, but only the steamman and gentleman, the main characters in this story, are clearly lit. The steamman is built from the RDNA Steam armor, the Arcebus Torpedo, and Jonnte's Steampunk Protective Mask and Steampunk Hat. The rifle is Cybertenko's Lewis Rifle. The gentleman is SAV Lynn with the Regency outfit and Jai Hair from DAZ. The sailors are M4 in Varsel's free European Navy Uniform; The running figure is M4 in the Steampunk Cowboy outfit from DAZ, and Jonnte's Steampunk Cap. The lady is Kiandra from Rendo in the Moroccan Dreams dress with the Amal texture set (DAZ). The other figures are the LoRez Cardinal and Arab (DAZ) plus the free turban from Rosemaryr. The set is built from elements of Dark Anvil's Moorings and Roland85's Old Quay with details from the Accessories for Tansy's Dock (Content Paradise). The water is from the Lake Village (DAZ). The rowboat is from 3D Universe. Visible in the foreground is the flag from the steampunk version of my own Keokuk Ironclad. There are four Songbird Remix cormorants and Zoe, the Millennium Cat, is following the principal characters down the stairs.
