Nice, Lisa, good job blending her into the ground. I'd post out the highlights on the back of her hair, as the light is coming from the opposite direction.

If you're new at it, I can't wait to see what you will produce with a little more experience! I agree with Djeser's perceptive observation about the hair, and think there are some problems of scale - notably the trees look rather small compared to the figure and jar (if she stood up she would be as tall as the adjacent trees), but overall this is well composed and very nicely done and a LOT better than most of us could claim as beginners.

Revisited your gallery and found this pearl of an artwork in your collection of wonderful artwork. This one reminds me of storyes from my childhood told to me my my mother/father. Excellent reflection in the water.. so calm and beautiful :-)
