Saxonian Diary 47 - Saxonian Switzerland by billcody ()
Thanks for your interest and your fine comments for my yesterday pic!
Today the same theme as yesterday: The sandstone cliffs of the "Saxonian Switzerland". This is an area of less then 30x30 kilometers and is situated on both sides of the border between Germany and Czech. It is normaly a flat plain with woods and agriculture structures, above some table mountains like the fortress of Koenigstein and with a deep cliff with sandstone towers and a canyon at the river Elbe. This cliff is the most outrageous landscape of all, one of the finest Germany has to offer.
Please feel free some comments, they are allways wellcome
