You are not fit to rule, my Lady ... by A_Sunbeam ()
"As a woman, where is your example? Your task was to provide the inner strength of woman, deep love, protecting and protected, serving and served. Your task was to nourish the citizens, and theirs to protect you. You have abused your power, the power of woman to excite Man to great deeds; you have abused all that is womanly by your pride. You have laid waste the bravest of the land, destroyed the task and honour of kingship; it is given to few to rule; where then our reason, if we choose such as you to rule? You have bled your citizens to their last copper farthing; to your land you have been not a mother, but a blight."
"And am I then so harsh and cruel? You make so much of a few warriors who died for me, who died to prove themselves brave and noble knights.
It is my duty to make the men of this country brave and strong, to find a man worthy of me, to rid the country of these beasts that ravage and damage. Who can reproach me with duty? Who dares question my decisions?"
........ from an unfinished story ...

Sounds like a few famous Politicians, that I know of in this Century - will they ever get it right? but the same could also apply to male counterparts , trust me! - Interesting storyline - but then again she is still very young looking, to have all the experience of the Elder. fine writing effort, BB
