Same place as the shot I posted yesterday, but this was that day we were there in the haze and fog. The tide was way out, and the far shore wasn't visible at all.

I can imagine each of those pieces of wood as a person, and the conversation ( very slow, of course) , which is taking place between them. Or maybe the complete row is being inspected by the unit commanders. Or none of that. It is great all three ways
This is as magical as the shot I saw previously. I love the textures and the overall sense of color. Each of those pilings looks as if they belong to something else, something fossilized, something deliciously otherworldly. The misty distance gives this a delicious air of mystery, and though I can easily recall one particular unwritten world, I can imagine countless others while looking at this. I love the way my eye just follows that line of pilings and then questions what interesting, oddly convoluted things might live within that fog! This is yet another brilliant, evocative piece of work.
