Description
Tonight we have a snow storm coming into our area of northeastern Kansas. Supposed to get up to as much as 3 inches (which is a pretty good amount for us) and accompanied by winds with gusts up to 35 mph--which means lots of deeper drifts. Sleet first, followed by the snow. It's quite a contrast to yesterday, which was a record breaking 77 degrees F. for Topeka. We made the national weather news.
Perhaps that is why tonight my thoughts return to the warm days of late summer and early autumn. Of course, in those times my sweating body wishes for cold weather to come. Guess it's true: be careful what you wish for! Heh.
And, no, his fly isn't unzipped; I checked. It's a trick of the lighting. (We old guys have to be extra careful of such things. We have three rules about going out in public:
1. Check your fly.
2. Check your fly.
3 Check your fly.)
I've dedicated this one to ontr1 who is another loyal visitor who often makes interesting comments. Just my little way of saying thanks; you're special to me.
That's it for now. My Jack Russell, Julie, and I are bound for bed and warm covers.
I appreciate all of you.
Jeremy
PS. Had a lot of trouble posting this one. Ended up reducing the size 20% and the JPEG quality to 75%. Wish Rendo would up their posting requirements to at least 6000 kb. Sigh.
