I have been busy with my christmas card, creating, printing, assembling...
So this is for all my "digital friends"... oh no, wait, YOU ALL ARE REAL, I did not mean to insinuate you were not! ;)
Poem is a lot easier to read via the "big click".
INSIDE CARD SAYS:
When I was a child, we lived at “sea level” or maybe even a bit below, so for it to snow was amazing! I certainly will never forget that winter’s gift!
I hope you find something surprising in your Holiday season this year!
I should add I was brought up in the San Fernando Valley, back in the days of DIRT ROADS and where the "norm" was HOT weather for christmas...
I am also still fighting this virus... while I can say I am better, I am still so NOT "out of the woods" as we say here... and very very tired of it.... Hence, still not doing all the credits, sorry.

Two years ago, we actually had the first genuine white Christmas on record in Birmingham, AL. It snowed six times that winter and then last year, not one snowflake! Snow is rare enough here that we do appreciate the gift of it when we do have a real snow. In spite of the scare, I'm very glad you had the experience. I'm also very glad you brought it to life and shared it with all of us. :-)
A delightful poem and image. I remember when I was a very young child living in So. California and miracle of miracles it snowed. I was also awakened by my mother, telling me to look out the window. I couldn't believe my eyes, everything was covered in snow. We played for hours, until it melted. Thanks for reminding me of this precious memory I will always cherish. CC
That was strange!! I came back to add the bit about being raised in the San Fernando Valley... typed that "here" as a post...and then changed my mind, decided to do a copy and paste it in as an "edit" under my picture...and it came out all wonky with odd characters for the punctuation, spacing etc. Must be some really different "html" code in these various fields!!
What a wonderful memory you've shared with us! They say a picture is worth a thousand words but I also believe your words paint thousands of pictures. Growing up in upstate NY I got sick of snow but having spent most of my adult life around the Mediterranean I kinda miss it now and your image brought back my own memories too - wonderful work!
Thanks a lot Lyne for this wonderful picture. ...and the poem of course. Very, very beautiful. A wonderful memory of the childhood. Keep it !!! We have had snow here some days ago, but everything has melted away. In this weekend again snow, but later higher temperatures.... Unknown we get a white X-mas. I hope your flu is soon over Lyne so you feel more happy. A peaceful Advent . Before Christmas I will see you several times, I think. All the best dear Lyne. Frans
