I Got's The Flu!
I feel every bit of my age and more,
This flu has got me down on the floor,
The little girl in me is really quite angry,
Shaking fists at germ bugs flying free!
Even with all I try to do to prevent this,
My body gave into this nasty bad virus,
So I will take gentle care until it's done,
Then I can get back to my normal "fun".
The flu is like hitting your thumb with a hammer,
When it is gone, my regular fibro feels "better"!
Zoom shows details much better! :)

When I saw the title, I couldn't help thinking of a song by Roger Miller (The folk singer). He had this quirky way of mixing odd things with heartache and just making it all work together. Somehow, this just seems right. "I got sugar in my candy, sugar in my soup. I'm gettin' fat from the candy, sick from the soup. True love is sweet, but if it's mishandled, The bitter wind blows and... out goes the candle. Well Lou's got the flu and he's laid up (laid up) laid up (laid up) laid up (laid up) Lou's got the flu and he's laid up (laid up). Got to get well pretty soon though." Be it heartache or flue, the thought in the end is that we'll get well soon and I sure do hope you do on all counts. We're still dealing with some crud here too, so it's a bit for us too. Big hugs!
