Your petals gently fall
One by one
Like golden tears
As you bid farewell
To your glory days
In the sun
Goodbye Sunshine prose by Carol Cavalaris©
Credits: This concludes my Sunflower series from my Language Of Flowers Collection. This one was inspired by a recent trip I took to a small mountain town called Idaho Springs, where I found a community garden in the middle of town filled with giant sunflowers. They were the biggest blooms I've ever seen, even beautiful bent with age and their petals almost gone. I can't wait to see them next year in full bloom. Created in Photoshop CS, using photo references and painting techniques.
Hope you enjoy. :o)

Another amazing image for your sunflower series. I love how the little petals give the feeling that the sunflower is crying over the end of the summer. I could look at this for ages Carol it is such an emotional work. Your brushwork is fabulous and your work is outstanding.
