So many stories here. Who made this land so desolate? Who's the good guy here, the Fae or the Spidey? Is the Fae coaxing the spidey into a trap? Is the Spidey seeing a nice meal sitting on the cairn? Is there a spell cast on the land, on the spidey, or on the Fae? Is one to help the other? Why is the Fae in this desolate land? Why is she sitting on that cairn? Oh so many questions .. which why there is no story. I guess I will rely on who ever cares to make a story for this event.
The lady is from mjranum (Marcus Ranum, photographer) at Deviant Art in his stock photos, the background is one of mine where I just plain when beserk with displacement map in PSP, and the sweet spidey is also mine with the color enhanced.
So enjoyed reading all the comments on the previous post, "Gone Camping". Many thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy this not so fluffeh one from the Hollow.

Oh my, oh my, what has happened at the Hollow, how could it get so cob webby. That spider has surely cast a spell on the place and thinks he can take over. I hope the fae can outsmart him and get rid of all those webs and get the beautiful Hollow back again. A very spooky image you have created with all that displacement mapping. What did you have for dinner??????
As she looks down upon the spider, she realizes that there is a need to share the environs. no one need die needlessly to extablish the harmony that is needed here. it is up to both of them to discover who cast the spell and negate it. Great image and wonderful start to a great story
What a super idea for an image Rita, and love the idea of having everyone come up with a story for it. Nancy and Mike both came up with great ones. My money is on the adorable Fae hiding a huge mallet behind her back and waiting for the spider to get close enough to bop him a good one. As with all stories, once the villian is dead everything should go back to normal ;) lol
Spiders are not my favorite creeper, in fact, I probably have a touch of arachnophobia. So I hope the Fae whacks the hell out of him and saves the day. He looks a bit sneaky. Never trust a spider, that should be the motto for the Hollows Gentry. Excellent Rita, the image really works, super story line as usual!!!!!
... the birds had stopped completely. Human beings were only their shadows. Men dared! This e & silent so easy to push a button! A sort of huge net metal had fallen on the Earth. First, no more human, then no color to brighten plsu Nature. The human race had completely annihilated ... in the nearby forest, the masts of the trees were standing suddenly appeared ... a fairy, all in coulors, dressed in her finery, and a beautiful spider, which did not recognize not his canvas ... catgastrophe the Unthinkable had happened ... humanity committed suicide and the characters of our old dreams become ...FACT!
The Queen of the Faes called on the King Spider for a little word, Fae - Please would you call upon all the spiders of the Hollow to please stop spinning their webs willy nilly over pathways. Spider - We are a growing species & we need room. Fae - Yes but Rita & the boys are coming to the Hollow for a break & they need somewhere to walk & it is hard, as I know Rita would not want to break up your webs. Spider - Oh I see, well would it be ok if we spun them in a place that is off the beaten track where no one usually walks. Fae - Thankyou King Spider, I am very grateful for your help. So Rita you, B.Dog & Murphy can now walk without worrying about breaking any of the beautiful webs the spiders have spun. xxxx
How clever you are with your fractal art Rita, and as for the story: The elfin princess fell in love with a beautiful handsome prince, and one day she kissed him and he turned into a spider and never changed back again. So the spider became her beloved pet that followed her everywhere, and especially liked his walks amongst the bracken where he could get practice in spinning silken webs. In return the princess collected all the silken webs and spun herself material to make amazing gowns like the one she is wearing in this scene, and he could always see his princess in all her radiant beauty forever. He could bare beng a spider just so long as his beautiful princess stayed faithful to only him and was always near his side ... THE END. lol. I missed you too dear Rita, I disappeared into my arty world for a while as I have had some health scares recently and I just wanted to get away from even thinking about them, but am back again to earth and enjoying catching up with you and all my rendo friends. The only friends I have on DA are my friends such as yourself who are original rendo friends, I could never leave here completely and am always drawn back into its galleries of wonder. hope you are well, keep safe, hugs Jane xx
