The Title means "Morning in the Sea Of Rock".
The "Felsenmeer" is a location very close to my home. It's an erosional accumulation of limestone blocks near Hemer, Sauerland.
The impressive boulders, canyons and distortions have their origins in the cave formation and their collapse and in centuries-long exploitation of iron ore. Legends talk about dwarfs that once were living and working there though.
The geological service Northrhine-Westfalia described the Felsenmeer of Hemer as a unique geotope in Germany and in the year 2005 gave it the predicate "Significant geological monument of Germany".
