While over the Swiss Alps, a BBC crew filming their next epic nature documentary encountered something they did not expect. One member of the crew, noted cinematographer David Leeman managed to capture this still before being plucked from the helicopter in a mouth of teeth. It was a tragic day, and all at the BBC feel the loss. He was a remarkable man, and a great artist, a master at his craft. On the flip side a new species was discovered, one that was thought to never have existed. An international team of biologists and other specialists are examining the photograph, and some of the footage shot just before Leeman's untimely passing.
Rendered in Carrara 8. Just bought it. It was on sale for $74 so I couldn't pass it up. Still figuring it out though. Had trees in this scene, using a surface replicator but decided to pull them out. I wanted a bare, remote mountain range, high and rocky.
