Description
This is the last of three posts of this image. I've done this to illustrate the work-in progress where is last image includes a reworked base surface hopefully giving the image a more realistic look.
The NWDA Tech Packs used here to enhance this Gila River area image are RArcher’s (Ryan Archer) ‘Dirt Pack’; Willi’s ‘Grass Pack’; and, FrankB’s ‘Stone Bed’ which includes the stones and a ‘Hero Rock’. Other vegetation includes lightning’s ‘3Bushes’, two of which are used here in varying colors.
The Gila River – The source of which begins in western New Mexico and travels west through Arizona and on to join the Salt River where both together empty into the Colorado River. In Arizona, the river is stopped by the Coolidge Dam; from there on through central and western Arizona, the river is dry except times during the intermittent rainy season which occurs mid June through mid September.

It's a nicely balanced scene, Bob. Roughing up the soil by the waterside, and foliage variation adjustments are well directed improvements. The cumulus clouds (from cloud pack) are a bit too solid for my taste (I like them a bit softer). A worthy entry in the NWDA comp. BTW: "Willi" should be Walli.
