Saturn with edge-on rings. Saturn revolves around the Sun roughly every 29.5 years. So, we can divide its orbit into quarters where we will see the maximized view of the topside of the rings 7.4 years from now, the edge-on view again in around 15 years, and then the bottom of the rings in the year 2031.
The telescope used was a TEC Maksutov-Cassegrain f/20 with a SkyNyx 2-2 monochrome web-cam using Astronomik LRGB filters to create the color image in Photoshop CS3
