Just this weekend we said goodbye to the youngest
member of our family, Piccolo (6 years old) who died of a mysterious illness that hit him just
the day before. He died in the palm of our hand.
We miss him sorely, the songs he sang to us daily,
the affectionate nuzzling, or his simple curiosity
by sitting on top of our heads watching our
activities. He loved millet, lettuce and butter
(although we avoided letting him have that too much).
We know your spirit's in a better place now - goodbye our beloved Piccolo.

I had one albino who lived to be 13 and died egg bound. We tried to help her but there was nothing to do - the egg was the size of a golf ball and nearly solid calcium. Budgies are wonderful companions and it is so hard to say good-bye. This is a fabulous portrait and a wonderful way to remember him.
I feel your pain. My budgie Gus died two months ago, leaving his mate Jackie so dejected I went and bought her a new companion. The best thing to do when a budgie dies is to get a new one, although of course in your heart it can never replace the one that left you. I have had five budgies over the past 20 years (Chip was one of them), and I still remember each of them very vividly. So sorry for your loss!
I am very sorry with the death of one of your friend piccolo !!! it is always a drama when an animal is dead by great age, but it is a disaster drama when it is suddenly, without really advice ! I love aniamls...I have two sisters cats !!! We have always animals at home...they are as kinds!!! Thanks dear Artfriend !!!
So sorry for your loss. When they leave and go to Rainbow Bridge they leave such a bit empty place in our home. I lost my baby Mikey in April 2010 and wow did our home feel empty. We went and got 3 new kitties and even though we still miss Mikey the 3 new kids do fill up the void he left. Your Piccolo will aways be with you in your heart and your thoughts.
