I know I'm the man of a thousand projects, :P. This came about because I want to work on animating and have my Effloresper in combat with a t-rex. I bought Dinoraul's Tarb, and his rex is out now, but I find the way he rigs legs limits their movement and makes even just walk cycles awkward. I had an easier time with my Effloresper, so I figured "screw it, I'm making my own." It's my day off today, I'm sick and the woman is at work. I did all of what you see there in just today. It's not rigged yet (which is why his arms are strait out,) but as you can see it is mapped and texture.
I have to tweak the map a bit on the knee and part of his rib cage, but just minor issues. The texture is mostly done, but the big brown spots on him look more like mud. They are coming off :P And need to fix some of the texturing in the mouth. It's only mirrored so only one side to texture which is why it went so quick.
The head was modeled against a profile of a t-rex skull to get an accurate model. It is I think a bit wider than it should be, but nothing I can't change on a whim.
To think, I managed all that from cube to textured dino in about 12 hours and still did the dishes, all while spittin' snot out my nose :P
Hope you enjoy, thanks for any feedback.
Oh the wierd cheeck design is inspired by the rex from Walking with Dinosaurs (just bought the Walking With series with Allosarus as well for $60. Worth every penny.)
Don't know if I'll sell this guy when it's done, just a sort of needed a better rig for an animation.

Oh well, another T-Rex... But still, I'm impressed by the time you needed to create the figure! I am completely unexperienced in modelling, so I guess my own try would not look as good even if I put a full month of work in it. I'd be interested to see the final animation. Your T-Rex looks very promising.
I'm always in the mood for new T-rexs. :P Damn, I wish I could model. You're becoming a very skilled modeler in your own right my friend. Pretty soon, you'll be able to make that genestealer. :P Seriously though, this is awesome and the texture and bump/displacement is spot on. Great work.
