Since years I have been willing to do professional comics. The first images of my heroin Silvia were made in 1995-96, just at the beginning of my drawing activity. But it was impossible for me to do any serious advance in that field, because I had to earn money day after day, and to do advertising or communication drawings, and later Photoshop teaching. Since one week I have ceased this activity to involve myself seriously in comics, but this is far from easy because the level requested by the European comic publishers is extremely high, and one album has at least 400 panels in 46 pages. I have now drawn 11 pages in pencil version. Inking is done in full vector mode with Manga Studio Pro EX and color with Photoshop, as the first studies (most of them were portraits) were colored in Illustrator 8. This was the vfirst panel that I have colored in Photoshop, so it is a true "Work in Progress". Now let us come to the situation. Silvia, then 16 years old, has entered a wooden cabin, but a prowler, Lucien, who lives here, comes back. The man attacks the young girl with an extreme violence and throws her a bottle of whisky at her head. He misses her, but bits of glass reflected by the wall hit and wound Silvia at the head. Now the villain is jumping on the heroin with the intention either to ravish her or, more probably, to kill her immediately. What will do our unfortunate friend? The slightest hesitation can mean death for her! But let you, sweet-hearted RR artists, be confident: Silvia will find a solution. She will simply have to go straight to the hospital for some stitches. The drama is that, in the real world, many marvelous girls die in similar situations. You can see a closeup portrait of Lucien here:
I have recently opened a site to present the Silvia comic project. It is here:
"Silvia (the adventures of Silvia Robin)"
This is not a public site. I have done it for the fun of friends, but more important is to help me to improve the project. So every comment will be welcome by writing me an email through the Contact button. The whole site is French/English, except the balloons which stay in French. The bad point is that, because the project has not been published (nor there is a publisher for now), the access to comic pages is restricted. If you are, since some months, one of my friends, or somebody who favorites my work, or one of my favorites, write me an email after May 14th, and I will give you the access code. Because Tuesday I will go holidays abroad without internet access. But without code there are tenths of drawings in 3 galleries to enjoy!

Viewed angle works well to lay out the dire sense of the portrayed scene. I like the hair you drew on Sylvia as well as the ink lines used in the clothing, they have the look of classical ink/brush work. Not sure I like all the lines in the wooded panels in the backdrop, makes the image look more busy than it needs to be. Perhaps a lighter colored line for the background boards would subdue it more thus accentuating the foreground action. But a good panel and hope to see much more!
