Winner image of the french contest 3dvf of July 2001 on the topic : "if the computer had been invented at the beginning of XXème century, what it would have resembled ?"
The ordinatographe is a heteroclite assembly of objects of the beginning of XX century.
The keyboard of a typewriter, the read/write of the data is done on a tape of perforated pasteboard like the mecanics pianos.
The mouse is a Morse's manipulator.
The screen is an ancestor of the cathode ray tube (in 1879, G Crookes identified the electrons, in 1897, JJ Thomson the cathode rays).
Decoration is inspired by installations of Hector Guimard, architect and cabinetmaker of the school of Nancy (famous for its inputs 1900 of the subway of Paris).
