Description

I love you so much I have a hard time Expressing what you mean to me Sometimes I think of you And I am weak My heart feels like it is going to stop My eyes want to see you My hands want to hold you I want to feel your breath Against my lips I want that feeling that I get When I hear you laugh When you are alright And I am alright I want to watch you dance

Wonderful poem. It reminded me of an ancient Saturday Night Live sketch where a very old John Belushi is standing over the snow covered graves of his cast mates while being interviewed by an unseen reporter. "All your friends died young. How have you managed to live so long?" "You want to know the secret? Its because I am a dancer!" And Belushi starts dancing in the snowy graveyard as the music plays. Randy, tell Merrylee that she doesn't need a partner to dance. All she has to do is just close her eyes and feel the music.

You can dance ... But don't forget who's taking you home And in whose arms you're gonna be So darlin', save the last dance for me...

Very beautiful poem and image. They go beautifully together. I love the last line (and title). All over the world there are dancers and others who watch and dance along in their minds. The light dances on the water. The leaves dance in the wind. Like in the bag scene from "American Beauty", all around things are dancing. So while the winds blow cold in your northern world, watch for the dancers. "And this bag was just... dancing with me ... like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. That's the day I realized that there was this entire life behind things, and this incredibly benevolent force that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid." (American Beauty)
