Description

I am what I am I am my own special creation So come take a look Give me the hook Or the ovation It's my world That I want to have a little pride My world And it's not a place I have to hide in Life's not worth a dam Till I can say I am what I am. Gloria Gaynor Let me introduce our new lightset, "Fiat Lux", to you that was just released in the marketplace! A set of 22 volumetric lightsets and two backdrop-props with a bunch of textures is ready to make your work with volumetrics a little bit easier. I hope that you like them as much as my previous light-sets. This is my first light-set that was made together with my "partner in ctime", Digital-Lion (Leo), he made the backdrops and spent many hours together with me finding the right settings for different light-situations. AND: May I introduce two upcoming products by tabala to you?! She sent me her new velvet-shaders (here I used one with a more "plushy" look) that came very handy to texture one of corvas' fantastic dresses and will be available here soon. And Kristina fixed me this wonderful pose, relying on the great black divas like Shirley Bassey, Diana Ross and Gloria Gaynor. But she didn't stop with this single pose, she made a complete package that will hopefully be available soon. So prepare to meet the great Divas of Soul, Jazz and Rock and their poses: Always a bit exaggerated but never ludicrous or silly. Technical: I used the set "Soft Cone 3" here to simulate a smaller stage with a more intimate atmosphere. And while fixing a little banner from this image I found out something about volumetrics that you might like to know: If the one set is too bright for your taste and the other one too dark you can choose the darker one - take the finished render to photoshop, duplicate the layer twice. Set the first duplicate to "Screen" and the second (upper) one to "Overlay. Now alter the transparency of both until your light has the brightness you desire while you still have enough contrast and color. That's all - no more postwork needed to give each lightset a new look.
