Du sang et des flammes, et un mur noir fermant la seule issue.......symbole de la tension entre les peuples, ou simplement du fardeau de l'humain, aveuglé par sa matérialité ? Une oeuvre forte, aux couleurs éclatantes, superbe, Jean !

Le retour à la matérialité. La majeure partie de la toile est occupée par les couleurs vives, voire brutes, qui m'évoquent les sentiments humains et leur violence, peut-être aussi l'extinction et la mort, dans une langue des couleurs très symbolique. Et puis il y a ce compteur "haute tension", ce compteur de la matérialité, mais qui compte quoi ? le temps qu'il nous reste de vie peut-être, tant qu'on reste branché sur ce "cordon ombilical" qui nous relie au reste des vivants. Fantastique travail, Jean!

un symbolisme éclatant, ces différentes couleurs de l'âme humaine, servant un être prétentieux et fanfaron...mais le compteur est là qui prend la mesure, comme pour limiter l'agression des différentes formes de la violence huimaine !!!

There is an interesting clash of modern verses tradition in this painting. Like in many old cities there are these antique buildings never designed for modern infrastructure like electricity. At times the retrofitting looks like an assault on the structure which has existed much longer than the intruding technology. In many ways a class of cultures which can creat the high tension of which you speak.

Une image où l'hyperréalisme se joint à la quasi-abstraction !! Les différentes textures sont formidables : on croirait l'image peinte avec de la vraie peinture sur une vraie toile !! Belle richesse des matières !! L'opposition entre modernité et tradition est très bien rendue grâce à la différence de texture des murs peints et du compteur électrique. A droite, l'espace où la peinture s'est effritée et laisse voir le mur de terre, ressemble à un profil de momie !?!! Magnifique travail !!
