This began as an exercise about creating deeply eroded stratified terrains with Vue 10.5 Infinite and World Machine 2...and acquired character. And plants and pebbles and a base of operations!
Since it was just an exercise, I gave up trying to wrangle the pebble ecosystem into lying down properly. I guess the pebbles just got all excited about being in a sci-fi picture.
Production notes: Post production just to add frame and signature; plants and base from Cornucopia3d; the rest came with Vue.

I rather like the rocks there, defiant of gravity's hold and 'sticking' it to the laws of nature. :D It's a great piece, dollface- really. When I first spotted the little buggers, I honestly thought of a rather large and nasty piece of war machinery getting ready to either land or come into view. Like those rocks aren't floating, but jumping from the impact compression from whatever's out of the line of sight.

You get those on alien worlds, excitable pebbles! :-D Fantastic scene, love the long shadows and the feeling of tranquillity.
