Description

Seen yesterday. I was quite pleased with this photo because I wasn't sure how it would come out. There appeared to be conservation work at the pond and it was surrounded by a strong wire fence, about 7 feet high, to protect newly planted water plants all around its perimeter. The heron was wading in the water on the far side of the pond from where I was standing so I had to poke my camera lens through a gap in the fence mesh and take this photo at my older camera's full x12 zoom!
