Walking round the pleasant gardens, Hano felt ill with guilt. Running over what had taken place with Hayla earlier, he had failed her dismally. Knowing at a deeper level the right decision had been made, it still did not take away the pain of hurting someone who was so delightful in her ways. Trying to clear his thoughts, roaming along like a stray kyboe, he crossed a small footbridge spanning a sharp cut in the terrain. Tinkling sounds of the slow moving stream below were not medicinal as he would have preferred. It was warm, with the sun beating away to his right as it descended towards early evening. He had no idea how he was going get through the pressures. A call from behind alerted him to Tarmon who was heading round to cross the small bridge. Unsure whether he needed company right now, the moody ponderings so far were hardly beneficial, but at least there was no pretence. Watching the slender Tard approach, perhaps his wisdom and patience might be just what was required at this delicate time.
