Description

Ive been reading Beowulf, and i kind of inspired me to do this image. I modeled grendel in wings 3d, and didnt really have a purpose or use for him till now (as many of u know in the bryce forum :-) )so here he his! this was also an expirment w/ painting in photoshop. using smudge the occasional dodge/burn, i got the painted effect. the render itself took about 5 hours in bryce cuz of all the terrains and trees (thanks to foleypro for his 2d forest object) well thats it for now---thanks for viewing please drop a comment in! bryce/photoshop/wings3d

I like the post work to this a lot. This really comes across as some killer 2d painting. Nice subtile colors too. Nice job.

Your image coupled with the postwork is perfect. The very subtle images in the background are well done-the castle and hills just bearly visible. Excellent

What I like about this is it would make an awsome painting to hang on the wall. amgif3.gif

Yep, you got that painted look and feel down to a tee. I love it. That is similar to how I do it. Top job my friend. --- Scott.

A beautiful overall effect, Jordan, and the choice of monochrome is fascinating: it adds mystery to the scene.
