Description
I had a date with the oral surgeon yesterday (and no, HE didn't look like this.....), to have that troublesome tooth evicted... They put me under, and it seemed like only an instant until I was awake and everything was done.
Of course I still had the 'after procedure' pain to deal with, and it was more intense than I was expecting. They gave me a prescription for some pain meds, but they didn't really seem to do much. But my old pal Advil seems to be keeping things under control today. Last night was pretty miserable...
Anyway, this is what fell out of my mind (what's left of it) today as I slowly get back to the realm of the living... LOL That's my actual X-ray on the wall behind my lovely dental assistant.
I'll be getting caught up on comments and working on the upcoming Chapter 7.. Stay tuned..

Glad it's over, hope you heal quickly! Oil of Cloves! A very effective painkiller when you have dental pain, and for most people no side effects.

Yeah after the extraction pains, been there before, most false teeth are in my mouth. Glad you got through it Rod, and wish also my dentist was this fine. Clove oil is best for pain.

I'm not back (i've got pain still that makes it hard to type), but I had to get here and send my healing wishes, and sorry I didn't say them the night before (I wished you the best in the week before, but it's not the same!). They call dental pain "exquisite pain," and I get that: It can be a tidal wave. (Barb/bakapo went through it too, and you both have my sympathies!) I hope it's going away, Rod, or that the worst of it is over. And you were right to be put out entirely---I totally get that....and I get that, when you wake up, it feels like 6 months could've passed, and you'd never have known...
Your image belongs on a magazine cover, it's a riot and perfectly done, I love how your model is sitting on a tooth! The green is great too, and I figured that photo was 'one of yours'. (I may have told you: When I had surgery, years back, I was examined by an absolutely stunning doctor who was attracted to me, and who I was attracted to too. And part of her exam---in my hospital bed---was examining my genitals, incl mr. willie, which she pulled and poked for about 5 minutes. (This really happened---I didn't dream it.) She blushed! And I kept thinking: "Why is this happening now? I wouldn't feel it if someone dropped a lamp on me, and NOW she's testing my genitals?" As she walked away, I wanted to cry: "Uh---can you come back in a WEEK??? A MONTH??? Sh_t, I'll settle for a YEAR..." So even if your model had been your dentist, you'd probably have missed it all. Ah well....I hope you're better soon, friend: I had you in my best healing wishes, and I'm very glad you're ok.

I hate being put under, it never really works right and I'm still very aware and feel everything. I woke up during my gall bladder surgery. The panic in the room was awesome.
