OK, folks.... Here we go..... The fecal matter is about to hit the oscillating air-mover....
No spoilers, though... You'll just have to keep an eye on the gallery. And hopefully, I'll be able to speed things up a bit with the story. I apologize for it taking so long, but RL keeps tripping me up! I'll be having surgery for my hernia on May 5th, then sonograms on the 19th. Then sometime after that more surgery for gallstones.
After careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion that getting old sucks. I guess it beats the alternative, though.
Anyway, I'm planning on retiring this fall, so I should have ample time to work on this story, and do other fun stuff. You DO have plenty of time once you retire..... Right, Tara?? LOL
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the latest page in the story! Stand by for more, and also some fun side-stories as well.
Thanks to Ed Kline for the updated Laser Derringer! The Girls will make good use of it very soon. If you haven't already, be sure to stop by Ed's gallery, and enjoy his wonderful and fun series "Storm Over Whoomera." It is an absolute riot, and his characters are just delightful. And while you're at it, be sure to check out Diemamker's and Desgar's wonderful and fun stories as we join forces to put the hurt on Kim Flung Poo! LOL
Thanks for stopping by, and for any comments you wish to leave. I really do appreciate them more than I can put into words. I hope everyone has a great week!

I was going to say that the Girls may need bigger guns, but if this Derringer's anything like that deceptive little gun from Men in Black, then perhaps not.
Whatever Snowzem and the Piggs are planning, it won't be enough to stop the Girls. Hopefully.
Great work, Rod. You really go out in building your scenes!
Is the TNA team ok? ......... What exactly happened here?.......... Giant Snakes and Scorpions? ............... Tune in next week to find out!! Terrific job Rod !! lol and love the Derringer concept! Can't wait to see what happens next!!
So tell me do the girls have their own Q that makes it more than just your typical Derringer?
Dawng! Yor work is just out of this world and prooofesional! Hope that AR and G4 will be ok on their own, interesting bottom segment with the downed soldiers. Love how you develop the scenes, action and use of all props. Page 5 should be even more intestine in this new chapter. And your now realizing getting old sucks? Known that for at least 3 years. I gained 8 pounds on my last job working, now not being I gained 13 more. We'll grow old together my friend even though miles seperate us. Hope the next page is just as thrilling, Rod.
Yes, Rod, retirement is one looooong, boring day after another. PLENTY of time to get caught up on your art! LOL! Honestly ... I have no idea how I had any sort of a life while I was still working. I've been retired for six years, six months, and eight days. (Dang! I wish you'd asked me this two days ago, that would have been cool.) Got nothin' to do but sit around figuring out how long I've been "work free." :D Well ... except for all the travel, the projects, the outings, the photography, the books, the games ... I haven't been bored in the least! :) It seems like there's always something going on. And I'll just bet Jo has a little list waiting for you, too! :P
Great pages,, my friend. I love all the background stuff. Terrific work!
Man, Rod! Outstanding! Every scene and set. Wonderfully detailed and expertly laid out. Really love the inset of Arawen holding the weapon. Truly professionally well done. You have so many creative tools in your tool box and imagination. Awesome page all the way around with a dangerous spin of urgency in the final scene, my friend!
Proof is in the pudding Rod. I've been gone from TNA for way too long and without looking back a single episode, I read and ogle this page and feel I know exactly what's going on...minus a few relative details I am sure:-) Love the USAF female uniform. The Major though...she's picked up the wrong hat hasn't she? I'll be poised on the edge of my chair waiting to see what slime ball thinks he can outwit our girls. Sounds like you've got a few medical issues to take care of before retirement. After all you do need to be in top shape to handle all the stresses and strains of party, party, party...hehe.
I like the details on the USAF uniform (I need to make a few things like that). Excellent work, I wonder who thumped out those poor fellows!
Yeah, getting old sucks rocks, but being retired doesn't. I'm on disability for arthritis and depression, and I do not miss dragging my arse off to make someone else wealthy.
So that is a cliffhanger ended Rod ! Amazing work on all the panels. Well, you deserve your retirement, Rod. Time to take things in a bit more relaxed way ! I am sure you will have a lot of time for your artwork but be open to the fact the first few months may be tough to get used to a less busy life.... Suddenly you have a lot more time to think about things and such and things you ignored before because of lack of time may irritate you when you have too much time on hand.... Being busy with your artwork is a good thing.... Every time I take 2 weeks off, it drives me nuts by the end on the second week because I am so used to being busy doing things....
I came back here to comment on more of your work, and I saw that I never commented on this! I could've SWORN I did---I remember reading it, I remember the last scene---what happened to my comment? Well, ok, here goes...
First, the backgrounds of the facility are fascinating and perfect, a real mass of industrial landscape stuff, with big tanks, outside wire-casings, metal fences, old decayed ugly walls, gizmos and water tanks, etc. Love the scene.
Your women and posing of them are as expert as ever, and beautiful and seductive as ever. As always, you pose them in so many configurations, you keep the action moving, the scene where Stephan is entering her car is composed beautifully, for example. Real contrasts. And of course you thicken the story with the stuff about the water and rattlesnakes, etc. (and memories of that sewer scene, which I still remember). (I once fell in an open sewer. A scene from the Keystone Cops, except it was real. I'll tell it one of these days...)
I like the vignette of Arawen (in the circle, like the old iris shots in silent films). And another big array for your background in the next scene. You really do placement of people and things beautifully.
And then the 'twist' in the last scene: An invasion. Murder/assault. Mystery. What happened? What's next...And a completely different color scheme to break out of the rest of the chapter: Greens. Another meticulously done chapter, Rod, with all your usual attentions to detail and all your fine articulation. As for not doing a lot on this recently, you've had a lot else on your mind, to be sure. And I know you've been frustrated with the number of your comments, but you get very excited and long responses from the people who know you, and it's great to see that everytime I come here. This series has fierce loyalty, which is great considering how much you put into it. (My comments have gone down too---though my absences help that a lot; I can't blame people when I'm gone so much. But still, one wonders what's happened on this site...) Terrific piece, Rod. First rate work once more. Sorry I didn't comment on this before now.
