Description

I think Toronto has been magically become transformed into a Tropic zone .. Bananas !!! we cant grow bananas here in Canada OUTDOORS ..but here they are .... not inside in a garden conservatory or greenhouse ...but outdoors ...with the overwhelming heat & humidity we are having this year so far , its perfect for them to grow they are growing in Edwards Gardens, Toronto Botanical Garden

Can pineapples be far behind? Great image. Bananas without the tarantulas they have in the tropics.

Yeah, and Russia is melting too...well...parts of it, and I wholly expect to arrive there (eventually) and find wild palms growing in Siberia, if they haven't been put in planters over there already! What a shot. I like the thick, and yes, tropical green. I can't say that I can muster any enthusiasm for bananas, at least as an edible thing...in fact, I can rhapsodize about how much I hate their taste, but I do like the way they look, and how unexpectedly they always seem to grow. This is a great shot and I love all of the botanical details you've caught...the textures, the lines, the dappled light...yeah...I like this.
