You have a way of capturing intimacy, and this is a wonderful example. Though the sky is light (rather than dark), the light around the lantern makes it appear like a night scene, around the lantern. And so it feels like an intimate peek. Beautiful handling of the light and shade. And the way the light colors those eloquent leaves. I also love the general staining on the lantern: It's been in use a long time, it appears. A loving intimate photo of one of the many small, beautiful things of our lives.
