Description

Here’s our lovely G4 feeling a little Steampunk-ish today! The ‘Steam Captain’ outfit was on sale, and she just couldn’t wait to try it on. She’s looking sweet in it, methinks (although she looks great in – or out of – just about anything. That's Arjin's G4 offroad vehicle behind..... well, G4! I must apologize for my spotty appearances and lateness on comments lately. With this continuing s##t-stream I’ve been dealing with the last 3 months my creativity has taken a bit of a kick to the groin. I’ve just felt drained between that and all the work we’re doing on and around this house. I hope to have a new ‘Behind the Scenes’ soon. There may be a light at the end of the tunnel – I just hope it’s not a train… Concerning the computer that died a couple weeks ago…. I’m still in the middle of reconfiguring everything but making progress. I was originally going to buy a new computer to replace the old Photoshop machine, but decided to save costs and go another route. I have the machine that has DAZ on it, and in addition to having a RTX208Ti GPU, it has oodles of drive space. So, I installed Photoshop and Lightroom on it. Microcenter had Seagate 4TB external drives on sale for $95 each, so I bought 2 of them for photo storage and backup. 200 bucks is a lot cheaper than a whole new computer. After some fiddling and investigating it looks like the only thing wrong with the old machine is a failed hard drive (boot drive). So, I’ll just stick a new HD – or better yet an SSD – in it and reload Win7. It’s a dual-processor machine with 64G of RAM, so I think it’s worth resurrecting. Anyway, I’ll be getting caught up with your galleries over the next day or so, and hopefully making some progress on the T.N.A. story – so don’t give up on me! LOL Have a good weekend, and thanks for stopping by, and for any comments you wish to leave. I appreciate them all. Facebook Twitter Girls From T.N.A. Website Girls From T.N.A. You always make The Girl look so good! And it sounds like you are making good progress getting your machine all up and running again--I admit I like Win7 better than 10, so I can see the appeal of keeping it!

She looks fabulous, Rod. Of course, she could wear a gunny sack and look great. Great talking to you and Jo last night

G4 sure know how to wear outfits! Dang, Drool, pant.. no worries about bring behind my friend, your friends here know what you're going though.

Got a bit more downer for me also, related to my car. But won't mention. I've lost my interest at this point doing any operation domino series. Lack of creativity for that right now. Hope you and Jo are doing ok my friend. God bless.

She looks great, and that's a suitable transport for the steam-punk world. Isn't it based on a real mercedes?

Good luck getting the machines up and running again!

It is. There was a G4 off-roader built by Mercedes-Benz for the German Army in WW-2. Mostly used for driving high-ranking officers around, I suspect.

Delightful image... Glad there's a light at the end of the tunnel ( just keep an ear out for that "clippity-clap" sound)!

she really fills out her costume so well. very sexy. you know the old saying "it never rains but pours". getting your machines fixed is more important than commenting on my stuff

Now there is a fabulous combination, Rod :) . G4 and G4 :) ! She is looking sweet and that is a very cool offroader ! I really like the paint job on it.

I do hope it is sunny bright sky at the end of the tunnel. You had too long a stretch of things going out of wack.... Yup, buy the SSD. In Amazon the Samsung ones (the best) are always on a good discount. Their price has dropped considerably over the years. And so much more reliable (and fast). I have been using for around 5 to 6 years now and never had any issue with any of them. I have 7 of them in my 2 rigs.

always good to see you post! G4 does look smashing in that outfit (ala Barb and many others)...it almost looks like a military outfit from the 19th C, but then Steampunk has a 19th C feel, so......you have her standing like an officer, and she looks smashing. It's funny...you give G4 a really kind and wholesome look, no matter how you clothe her, pose her, etc, so even in this old British-looking military garb, she looks like she never lost her heart for a moment. (Tough but fair? Something like that.) And the car looks smashing too. And then you gave this a very contemporary background, like she's parked in front of a trendy club. I love the light on her face---from that lantern-thing she's holding. (Forgive me, but I don't know what that is! The bottom looks like a weapon, while the top looks like a lantern.) Anyway, I like how it lights her, as if in a dark forest. Deep chocolatey tones too...really fine work, Rod.

I'll never know how you do everything with computer. (You'd be a great next door neighbor!) I hope you find the cheapest and best solutions you can. And you got a 4TB Ext HD---I assume rotational---for $95??? Not too shabby! I wish you luck. (If they were SSD's, you got a steal! My 2TB Ext SSD's were 8 times that much!)

As for the next yet-to-be-seen TNA, everyone knows you're going through a meat grinder now, so I'm sure no one minds that you're late. It only makes the final arrival more sweet. I do hope you and Jo start seeing some relief and peace soon. As I've said, moving is one of life's big stresses; and you've had many more piled on...All the best to you, and thanks for your wonderful comments while everything else is going on---you're kind to all of us, and it's much appreciated by everyone. Godspeed in all your present burdens...hope you pass the 'critical point' soon.

G4 looks ready to take on the Bad Guys in that outfit. Glad the "storm" is dwindling to manageable levels and the solutions aren't going to bankrupt you.

Great looking scene, Rod...little G4 looks great in her new outfit :) Is that Summoner's Merc all jazzed up? Glad the weather is beginning to behave and you're able to do more of what you enjoy...

An excellent image, I feel your pain about the computer, it is not as simple as opening the box and plugging it in. I hope things are on the upswing.
