Description

I think this is a Cep, an edible British fungus (although I wouldn't eat it in this condition because it's way past its "sell-by date"!). I was walking along the road by my local hospital and passed a grass bank with some Beech trees and about 6 different species of fungi on it. There were several Ceps which I photographed from different angles and, because I'm not a Pro member and can only upload one photo per day, I'll post a shot of one of the others tomorrow.
