The mood of the 30's and the Bendix and Thompson Trophies is there. This little number set the curve on Cooper-Harper being barely controllable by the elite few. To design such a vehicle one must throw concepts of tail arm out the window and concentrate exclusively on raising the power and lowering the drag in pylon turns. Don't let me distract from the image by interpretting the fear. Fear of losing the race was greatest. It permeated all who worked on such a craft.

A very noisy scene!! Fantastic modelling Helmut ~ those were the days for aviators, when the sky was wild and free. Glorious depiction of a time now gone except for airshows!! Bravo and Happy New Year!!
