Built for grandeur, became decrepit. Evokes thoughts of failed dreams. Excellent image and great title.

the dark mood is befitting, and hauntingly sad, yet beautiful!!!!

I see why you like this structure... full of ratto textures and with a rich historical look, not to mention all the wonderful windows and doors! Will we see more of this unique place? I hope so. :)

Oh Ale....my comment is not so important....but I'm honored that you value my opinion. This is an exceptional image....as a record of history and artistically. I love old architecture, there is a connection to our history in them, and sometimes you can only imagine the lives it held in it... It looks as if it were once mighty and grand, now it is sad and neglected, waiting for someone to give it love.... The B&W here is fantastic...beautiful tones...as always wonderful work. :~) Now I feel very nostalgic......I can see that Matt (RA) thinks the same as I...

Just a shadow, a shell of something it once was... A ghost, almost like Roby, indeed. I love it and I'm happy to see it dedicated to our friend...

Wonderful image, as all have said...it reminds me of Don Quixote and his windmills as well...

Seriously, I think you should frame these and sell them. Or hang them up in your home so people ask you who took the picture! And then you have a conversation piece!

Thanks Ratto for the great photo and the inspiration. I tried to recreate this image, my attempt is titled Failed Dreams.

superb pic. You've captured just the right moment and lighting for this structure. And doing it in b&w is quite appropriate. My only request... tell more about the building itself! Where is it? What is it (or was it)?
