Description

...found nestled along a trail among Giant Redwood trees in California's Humboldt County, May 2011. Note added April 20, 2012. The flower and leaves above are part of the ubiquitous ground cover underneath the Coastal Redwoods. It is Redwood Sorrel/Oxalis oregana. Bill P.S. Zoom worthy. "Nature's Brush Strokes"

I have no clue as to what this flower actually is, though I suspect it's a purple one, but I love it. The light is fantastic and the color just pops! Nice...very nice! It's almost warm enough for stuff to start blooming here and so I'm curious as to what I'll be finding. Something interesting, I'm sure. Wonderful details, and I love that nice, centered splash of yellow.

Wonderful little flower hiding amongst the giant redwoods. I have no idea what it is, but it should be called Goliath, as it slayed the mighty giant, you chose this through the lens and not the trees :}
