Venishi, cheers for the comment. you might like this man... Here's the ship for the good guys. Tried all kinds on this for textures. Eventually settled with big panels of rusted metal with rivets. Lovin it. This is the one with clusters of fighter scouts for scale. I've been told we might be needing one the size of a planet!! Ideas of how to do this convincingly anyone?

Take a look at http://www.scifi-meshes.com/tutorials/norling/greeble/greeble.html, a good set of comments about greebling to give a sense of scale.

thanks Gog. Have checked it out. I'm sure I remember downloading a greeble tool for max and not having the first idea what to do with it. Think I might have to have another look into it...
