mother's day flowers. these were waiting for me on the front step! thanks for looking! mom is still in the rehab center... old bones heal slowly.

I'm really happy you got these, Barb, as I'm sure you could use that kind of attention now, and because you deserve them. Your shot is filled with shadow as well as light---I always like flower shots that don't just highlight the flower as a 'big bright thing', because flowers contain such huge mysteries in their furls. The light and dark here is beauteous. And the light from the window is nearly white hot in intensity, to balance the hues, some of which are quite introspective. (Ie, the purples and deep oranges in the lower half). Beautifully shot, showing the complexity and mystery of a bouquet. I hope your mother is healing still, and that you're doing well in what I'm sure is a difficult time. Of course all your fans (me included) want to see you back here. But more importantly, I hope you can rest and get back to normal yourself, because I know that caring for an ailing parent is not easy. All my best to both of you, and my apologies for getting to these last few uploads so late.
