Description

Here is a black fireplace mantle for a Gas Insert. One would not want to use these pieces for a wood burning fireplace beczuse the wood is much higher octane than natural gas. The heat will defineately cause cracking and if thee is any moisture in the stone... well, if you have ever been camping and tossed large stones into a bead of hot coals you my have rmembered that often explode if they were soaking wet. I've just returned from Yunfu this evening, so this time I got to go to the factory itself and see the stones being cut. My friends in Yunfo are th3e manufacturers of those black sink countertops you have seen at Lowes and Home Depot. I hope you enjoyed seeing these as much as I did taking them and doing the post work.

Very cool shot! I like the assortment of stone around it, too.
