I have a fireplace and tried it once. since there has been no fire there. many of the expensive homes I worked in used their fireplaces and they smelled terrible. all the furniture gets the smell.

That stonework would not look out of place in Skara Brae. Odd wear pattern on the right of the fireplace, maybe they reused material from an earlier building.
